The beads dangling on these earrings are little ivory glass hearts decorated with forget me not style flowers. There's one flower on each side of the hearts so you don't need to worry about the hearts turning. The beads pictured have been etched to a velvety soft finish but you can opt for a shiny pair if you prefer. You can also select either Sterling Silver or Copper ear wires.
Heart dimensions 15x14mm
Length of ear wire 35mm
Total drop 50mm
In the final image you can see the earrings being worn, don't worry, you won't receive those earrings.
All my glass beads are handmade by myself - that involves melting rods of glass in a propane flame and shaping the molten glass on a metal mandrel. Whilst I make every effort to ensure pairs and sets of beads match, they are handmade, so there will be some slight variation - I'm not a bead making robot! Every bead is kiln annealed which increases the durability of the glass. Then each bead is carefully cleaned to remove the bead release - a clay like substance used to stop the glass sticking to the mandrel.
Please remember beads present a choking hazard to small children and pets. Whilst a glass bead is actually a very strong shape, it is still glass - If you hit it with force, against or with something hard, it is possible to break a bead!
Please remember that colour representation can vary depending on your monitor.

Niobium is an element (formerly known as Colombium) which can be anodised, and therefore coloured, just like Aluminium. It is light and strong which is important for jewellery but possibly more important is that it is hypoallergenic. This makes it suitable for those with sensitivity to other metals.
Aluminium (or Aluminum if you prefer) can be anodised by submerging it in acid and subjecting to an electrical current. This results in a microscopic, almost honeycomb surface. Colour added to that surface is sealing into the chambers with heat and the result is permanently coloured metal - The colours you see on my anodised Aluminium cannot wash or rub off.
Aluminium is extremely light which makes is perfect for comfortable jewellery. It cannot be soldered, like Silver for example, so you will find items like my Pansy Stud earrings can be separated into the studs (Sterling Silver or Niobium) and the anodised Aluminium flower. This means you can wear the studs alone if you wish - two pairs for the price of one!
